I lead a life of words. During the day, I edit and write for publications on topics ranging from children’s literature to real estate and healthcare. At night, I write fantasy and sometimes horror.

I am a nearly lifelong Jersey girl except for those three years in Florida, during which I never developed a tan but did develop a love for mangoes and cafe con leche. New Jersey, despite
what you’ve heard, is a nice place to live. I live with my family and my intern, who helpfully claws my legs while I work.

I am a member of The Authors Guild and spent several years as a member of the
12 x 12 Picture Book Writing Challenge, which I recommend. I think libraries are wonderful places, and I think you should read newspapers. And I think people who love books are the best people.
