I lead a life of words. During the day, I edit for Draft.dev. I’ve previously edited and written for a number of publications, on topics ranging from children’s literature to real estate and healthcare.
At night, I write fiction. My short stories can be found in anthologies and magazines, and I’m seeking representation for my middle grade fantasy.
I am a nearly lifelong Jersey girl except for those three years in Florida, during which I never developed a tan but did develop a love for mangoes and cafe con leche. New Jersey, despite what you’ve heard, is a nice place to live. I live with my family and my intern, who helpfully claws my legs while I work.
I am a member of SCBWI and ACES, and spent several years as a member of the 12x 12 Picture Book Writing Challenge, which I highly recommend. I think libraries are wonderful places, and I think you should read newspapers. And I think people who love books are the best people.
